RunningMan:

Same wheels as a model Y? Trademe.

EDIT: Or here https://planetev.co.nz/

Nope, not the same wheels, sadly; there have been lots of Y wheels for sale as many people logically bought the car with standard wheels and upgraded after the car arrived, otherwise they’d have lost the rebate. (Possibly not an issue now the price has dropped $6k this year, at least if buying white?) That TM auction isn’t that useful as t’s just for the rim and cover, not the tyre itself. (I paid $500 each for an as-new tyre/rim/cover for the same MY wheel; M3 wheels are rarer, so tend to be more expensive.)

Does your spare wheel rim have to match the rest of your wheels? Have you tried going down to your local Mag and wheel shop and ask for a cheapish rim and tyre to fit your Tesla?

Or do Tesla have some odd ball Rim size or stud pattern?

Here's a M3 being parted out: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/parts-other-makes/exterior/listing/4075781235

Thanks for that. Unfortunately the wheels were the first thing to go.

I know there are mobile tire repair vans, but I wonder if they would have Pilot Sport 4s. I doubt it.

I've done lots of long trips and I have never been worried about a flat - I can't recall the last time I actually had a flat with my previous cars also.

I did however notice that the Tyre Repair Kit is in-stock so perhaps just grab this and pop it in your boot compartment: https://shop.tesla.com/en_nz/product/tire-repair-kit (I just bought one).

I just ordered one of these .Cheers.I love my new model three .This will be good on a long trip.Road side assistance sounds good.I imagine if you have time to spare and don't mind cars speeding close by you for what may well be a long wait for the AA/Tesla man.

If you're in New Plymouth, Tesla is joining Electricarna in an official capacity this Saturday where you can talk to Tesla staff and view Model 3, along with test drives. You will need to register your details on the linked page to book a test drive, though.

Looks like we have another price cut across the globe. Yes, another one. Looks like Tesla is going in for the kill now.

Watch this space.

Ha!, I was lurking in this thread earlier last night so I missed this reply.

I decided to just click the order button, this morning, for a standard Model 3 with white/black interior without reading anything more.

My delivery ETA is sometime between today and 10-May-2023 at this stage.

It appears from some quick browsing that Tesla may honor a price drop, before delivery of my order, if the price reduces in the next couple of weeks?

I guess that I can only hope that this may happen.
