Maybe I just hadn’t noticed it earlier, but 2024.2.6 has added chargers other than Superchargers to the Nav. I haven’t needed to try it but am wondering if it will pre-condition on the way to these ‘other’ fast chargers?

In a word, yes.

I'll be giving it a go this weekend as we'll be in the Wairarapa which is a Supercharger-free zone...

(That said, I got 3rd-party chargers added a few weeks back while I was still on a 2023 software version; not sure how/why given all others report it as connected to a recent 2024 update.)

Improving Access to Third-Party Fast Charging

Third-party fast chargers that meet our performance and reliability standards may be added to Tesla’s navigation automatically as Qualified Third-Party Chargers. The intent is to expand the range of charging options and ensure a smooth charging experience for Tesla drivers. When drivers navigate to a Qualified Third-Party Charger, the battery automatically preconditions to arrive with an optimal temperature, reducing the amount of time it takes to charge.

I believe the third-party chargers came with a separate map update.

Is it me or is the Model 3 charging much faster, and it remains to charge faster than before when in the 90%-100% range?

Just updated my 2022 M3rwd to software 2024.8.9

The main additions seem to be Adaptive High Beam and Speed Cameras on Nav.

Not that fussed about the latter, but I’ll be interested to see how the Adaptive High Beams work. Hope I don’t blind too many of my fellow travellers finding out😬

Yep same here on the M3. But I can't see speed cameras anywhere. Maybe only when routing to a destination?

Anyway, in other news, 2k drop in M3, and you can't order a custom Y at the moment. Perhaps the new Y is coming?

The note on the Speed Cameras says premium connectivity required. Don’t know if you’ve bothered with that?

Yes I pay that $10 monthly fee. But don't see it. Although I haven't set a destination yet so I might just do that next time I am going to the local shops, haha.

It offered me an update today so its installing now. Will be interesting to see what the headlights change will do with all the needless highbeams that it uses when on autosteer. Constant on and off again even on lit areas till it sees something else coming the other way or tail lights.

The indicator icons on the screen have changed. Looks larger which is nice but does look like someone just whacked it in there without much thought on design 😂

Ah, so it wasn’t just my imagination! I asked my wife the other day if they’d grown and she didn’t reckon. Agree, I think they now look quite tacky and cheap.

I prefer the new design as its up above the speed and not hidden under your left hand.

Same reason I prefer the location of the speed readout on the M3 over a traditional look down and through the steering wheel speedo, it doesnt matter where the wheel is you can always see the speedo.

The indicator change is due to a recall in the US

Maybe it’s just my imagination, but the warning arcs from the USS seem to be slightly thicker as well. Maybe for the same reason Obraik referenced above.

The indicators are displayed on my aftermarket HUD, so I can’t say I had noticed the change on the central display until mentioned by heavenlywild.

There was some blabber about a recall for some things were not meeting standard for warning lights.

I just wish that they could change the click sound volume to match audio volume since you cant hear it. They manage to needlessly duck the music volume when it plays autopilot bing and bong sounds but not make it so the indicator can be heard.

Agree, the indicator sound needs to be turned up. It's more than a first world problem because sometimes as you enter an intersection the indicator may turn off as you manoeuvre around and suddenly half way around the roundabout you get honked at because the indicator has turned off without you realising.
