Unfortunately I have no dashcam but a few days ago I was sitting in the left lane of two waiting to join a roundabout and then take the first exit. Nekk minute, a motorbike arrives next to me in the right lane and turns right, going the wrong way on the roundabout to take what should be the third exit. Big chap with a leather jacket and nazi style helmet so obviously the road law doesn't apply, but I'm sure the laws of physics do when he crashes

I was walking along the Ironside Rd down to the Johnsonville mall yesterday when this black BMW with tinted windows comes up the road (from right to left) and decided to perform a U-turn in the T intersection marked below, proceeding back into Ironside Rd without stopping, with complete disregard for the two cars coming down the road - which were visible when the muppet started the manoeuvre.

The muppet stopped with half of his car into the road when he heard the noise of braking and tyres burning the asphalt.

Did it look to be  a newish\late model BMW ?

I'm fairly certain BMW have a driver training\education thing out at Boomrock, and i've seen in the past the cars filling at the Waitomo petrol station.

I took a photo of the car. It's not a new BMW. It's been modified. It does have a personalised plate and it's not one Boomrock or BMW would use - it's an Indian name for people from a specific region.

Welcome to BMW driving 101.

Let's get started.

Right, first thing to know is yes, actually, you do own the road :-)

Not technically "On The Road" as such!

Another great way to advertise your Business - NOT!

Try getting your bike past that!

Hopefully you did the old lift up of the wiper blades trick?

Mirrors usually fold when you walk past close to things.

Now that I have a dashcam, thought I'd put some content here. Recorded this tonight but unfortunately the cam didn't pick up the number plate.

Had a shit race up behind me on the Northwestern this morning, coming into the city just under spaghetti junction. When I didn't respond to his intimidation and move out the way, he threw a half cup of mcdonalds coke over my windscreen when he was next able to overtake. Rego: GTD584

From my experience on the northwestern, and going by his appearance, he was either a tradie late for work, or glass BBQ enthusiast needing his next fix.

I'd report that to the police tbh. Might sound like an overreaction, but that sort of dumb crap can cause a nasty smash on the motorway.

You can't take your eyes off the road if you can't see the road.
