Guys, just bought this car stereo and i find this really nice as it can connect two iphones via bluetooth. I can switch calling between two iphones handsfree. now my only issue is how to switch the bluetooth audio (say i want iphone 2 to play music rather iphone 1). just dont know what to press to switch between bluetooh audio. anyone got this similar JVC car stereo?

Got RDS or is this another case of the NZ model missing out?
Does it have ISO connectors on it, or do they ship a loom that ends in useless bare wires like sony do?
How "steppy" is the volume control? I find that most stereos only have 32 or so volume steps, but even worse there are only about 8 of them that are audible above road noise before it gets into a distorted mess.

I've been researching new card audio gear as well (mainly looking at single-DIN units with decent android support - which is basically Alpine/Sony/JVC/Kenwood), and AptX doesn't currently seem to exist for head units.
I was looking at the JVC KD-A95BT (which seems to be more or less the same thing, just with built-in Pandora support), but couldn't find anyone that carried it - in the end went with the Sony DSX-310BTX (mechless unit with Android support for Pandora, somewhat nicer UI and more audio adjustments compared to the JVC unit but only supports one phone at a time).
JVC do make a mechless version as well - KD-X80BT - although I'm not sure what's behind the flip front. The Sony has a handy compartment with an internal USB cable; note the USB cables for the JVC units both come from the rear of the unit (and one of them is taken up by the bluetooth adapter).
In terms of sound quality I probably would have bought the Pioneer DEH-80PRS (horrifically priced locally, but better priced ex-Ebay) if it had native support for Pandora via Android.

There is the ISO plugs which consist of a couple of 8 pin plugs - 1 for speakers, 1 for control/power. The various adaptor looms from TradeMe, eBay etc. convert from vehicle specific to ISO or head unit manufacturer to ISO so you can mix and match.
Wired in car kits like Parrot will generally use the ISO connectors, and just plug in line.
If you buy a sony in the uk you get a loom with ISO on the end that will plug straight into moat new cars (not japanese rho). Sameish models here come with bare wires so you are up another $20 or so for a loom at repco.
also UK models almost always have RDS which is becoming more useful here slowly.
Im not really happy with non aptx bluetooth sound even on some of the pricey headphones Ibhave tried so might just wait.
IMO the back is the place for all wires since out the front is messy and on the sony I had wirh the aux on the face it was noisy and neded the face to be jiggled to get rid of the noise.
