Which model head unit? What car's it going in to? Provided the car doesn't need modifications to accept an aftermarket unit, it should be pretty easy. No trouble at all installing a DEH-X4650BT in the wife's car a couple of weeks back.

There's an installer somewhere on the Shore that I've bought from before, but can't recall the name. Will see what I can find later.

Not AppRadio, it's for the wife and I don't want her to have anything too flash! ;-) It supports all she needs and some room to move.

Anyway, back to your problem. Chances are you'll need to remove the dash to get the unit out. Chances are the OEM brackets were used to secure it. Who did the initial install?

I'm not even sure they're still there. It was over 6 years ago. Pretty sure it was near the Wairau Rd/Tristram Ave intersection.

Not real hard to pull out if you're interested to DIY.

There is still an outfit there. They have signs out on the street.

Any chance you have the name of the business for the OP? I don't live in the area.

I think it's North Shore Autosoundz? They are (were) in that vicinity. Looks like they might have moved now but I think they're a Pioneer agent too so could be a good bet.
