Does anyone here attend this? I went for the first time in April and it was AWESOME!
I rocked up half an hour earlier than official start thinking I'll be able to watch all the cars roll in, but the carpark already had 100+ cars in it! It was great walking around all the classics. Some amazing pieces of art show up and everyone is really friendly and more than happy to talk to you about their car.
One of the things I did not like at all, were people touching and fiddling with the cars. Parents who can't keep their 10 year old under control and stop them from climbing on things. Foreigners were opening doors and sitting in cars for photographs without owners present. I saw a lady leaning on the rear wing of a replica Lamborghini for a photo and all I felt I could do is stand around and watch. :(
I did notice at this event there was a lack of rubbish, especially towards the end of the event. Pretty impressive to see practically no rubbish considering there were 500+ plus cars last time. I've seen more rubbish end up on the floor 10 minutes in to an event with half the people attending. I put it down to the caring and appreciative people the event attracts.
The next event is on the 31st of May. It's held on the last Sunday of every month at Smales Farm from 10AM till 12PM (usually) and is definitely a great way to spend your morning before lunch, especially if it's nice and sunny! :)
