Son has just acquired his first car, a 1996 Honda Civic Ferio, import.

It came with a single button remote which doesn't work.  It has a fresh battery.

Websearch returns a couple of methods for re-programming:

  1. Push the 'valet' button on the stock-fitted stereo.  This car doesn't have a valet button, I suspect this way is US centric
  2. Ignition on, push button, ignition off.  Repeat three times.

Neither method is successful.  Does anyone know the correct way to program a remote for this car?

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
