You mean prime or service in general?

I consider Amazon to be one of the, if not THE best company in the world. Their reach is unbelievable, they are innovative, and I have yet, even a single time, to have them fail to exceed my expectations on any customer service matter. I've even held conversations via email directly with their CEO!

As for Prime, I believe it presents excellent value, the membership details are made pretty clear, have a look and see what you think might interest you.

Darn, was hoping it would be netflix, that way I wouldn't need yet another VOD sub. Oh well.

Great news indeed.

Having an Amazon fire TV device already in use in the lounge getting new content from them should be the easiest it been yet :-)

Look forward to seeing what the new show end up like, same as before or new look I wonder?

Netflix missed a huge opportunity, can't see myself getting prime/their vod service just for the new show.

Yes, could someone kindly explain the easiest way to setup payment from NZ ?

Do they accept paypal (US) ?

Also, are they like Netflix in that if I sign up with a US account, and set my TV region to UK (which also has it) I can watch the UK Amazon content ?

Amazon VOD is available on a number of devices including the PS3,Roku, Sony BD players, possibly Apple TV, PC browser, phones and tablets (both IOS and Android)

Amazon Prime is a subset of their streaming content available free to anybody who signs up to Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime (which really only makes sense in the US) offers free two day shipping for most items if you pay $99(US) a year. So even if you don't or cannot take advantage of their shipping service and only avail yourself of the Prime streaming content, that is US$8.25/month which compares favourably with Netflix.

They also just introduced family plans. So if one person in the family has Prime, that user can assign Prime privileges to another account. For example my daughter has Prime in the US (half price since she got a student discount) and she added me to Prime so I can view Prime content. Often there is content on Amazon that is not on Netflix.

And to a couple of questions asked

- no idea if you can use a non US credit card for Prime. I can't see why not since Amazon accepts any credit cards for goods
- Never encountered simultaneous device limitations but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Does that work if your account is clearly in NZ, as evidenced by shipping address, credit card etc?

Secondly, I had a look through the content offering for Netflix in the US (via my wife's account) and found the TV selection extremely underwhelming and rather dated.  The selection of Movies was somewhat better, but how does it compare with Netflix, Lightbox etc?
