I've owned my big Pajero for ten years now, but I still can't reverse into a parking space without leaving a three foot gap when I am convinced I am inches away from whatever is behind me.  I got as far as buying a reversing alarm kit from Repco once, before realizing I could exactly the same thing from TradeMe for less than half the price, so I returned it and got my money back, but then never got round to a TradeMe deal.  Yep.  Bloody hopeless, but that's blokes for you. embarassed

I also need to replace my ageing GPS.  It mainly only gets used for trips to the UK, but the maps are ten years out of date, the screen is cracked making it hard to select some letters, so for the price of new maps and a screen fix, I might as well get a new one.  So after looking at reversing cameras online this evening, it occurred to me that they must make vehicle GPS units that will take a camera input, but after further searching on TradeMe, I remain confused.  The ones I found are cheap looking OEM units with no means to research the GPS.

I am looking for a good quality GPS with a larger than average screen with NZ & Oz maps, but with an option to load UK and Ireland maps, and the ability to take a reversing camera.  Any direction would be greatly received.

BTW  I am loving my DOD dashcam bought from recommendations from this forum.

bite the bullet and buy a separate unit for each, some pretty good reversing cameras that turn a section of the rear view mirror in to a screen.

As far as a GPS, buy a Garmin, heaps of world wide open source maps available for those overseas trips
