Team
Have experienced an issue i didn't really notice until recently and have had other customers also relay they have experienced the same.
With the MyLink system in the newer holdens, when a call comes through on an apple device, some of the contacts do not display the name, only the number.  Others show the name and number correctly.
I have raised this with Holden and the local service manager has also experienced it.  To date i have removed the contacts i know do it and re-entered them into the phone then re-paired the device to no avail.
Awkward part is it happens to the PWO, and she has noticed!

Simple question i guess, anyone else have this system and seen this happening?

We haven't had any issues.  But we don't get that many phone calls while driving.

There could be some numbers worth committing to memory...

Edit: check you don't have duplicate entries for contacts. This is a common cause for lack of caller id matching.

On my previous car, a Kia, only numbers showed when receiving a call because showing names required me to upload my contacts list which I never bothered to do. On my new Mazda the contacts automatically upload each time the car is started.

I suspect that your Holden system is either uploading contacts regularly and failing to complete the job, or alternatively it may have uploaded at some point in the past and has not done so again for an extended period of time.

interesting points.
The numbers do upload and i have verified that the process has completed successfully from within the phone portion of the menu.
I'm still working through the process of elimination but its got me interested.

Do you have any non ascii characters in your contacts names at all? That screwed up one car I used when I had a chinese name in the phone.

Nope, its a plain old english name, its got me stumped.....unless there is a limit to the number of contacts available, or loaded at random maybe?
