My father in law has just shifted to Palmerston North, and is looking for a recommendation for a mechanic/workshop to service his Ford Falcon Futura (LPG). I'm currently "between" mechanics as I've become dissatisfied with my previous regular workshop seriously overcharging for their services/parts, and for blatantly misleading advice over cambelt servicing. So I guess I'm also on the lookout for a new mechanic/workshop. My car is a Toyota Altezza, so I've been thinking about going to Manawatu Toyota. But if there's a better option, I'm open to suggestions.

So - which mechanic/workshop in Palmerston North would you recommend for a Ford Falcon and a Toyota Altezza?

We use two Mechanics in Palmerston North. First is Advance Automotive in Jasper Place opposite Toops (Talk to Kyle). The other is Pulse Automotive at 88 Lombard Street (Talk to Matt). Both lead mechanic/owners are great!

I used to go to Proform when I lived there. I guy called Eden runs it. I always found him helpful and friendly. The prices were good and I trusted him and his team to look after my cars.
