http://www.topgear.com/car-news/top-gear-tv/meet-your-new-top-gear-presenters

6 Presenters (7 if you include the Stig) for Top Gear under Chris Evans.

They are:

  • Chris Evans
  • Matt Leblanc (already known, see other threads)
  • Chris Harris (widely speculated, now confirmed)
  • Sabine Schmitz (widely speculated, now confirmed)
  • Eddie Jordan (ex Jordan F1 team owner, widely speculated, now confirmed)
  • Rory Reid (no idea who he is)
  • The Stig (Of course)

And if like me, you are a fan of Monkey Harris and his antic on YouTube, he's had this to say on Twitter

EDIT: Added link to Matt LeBlanc thread

I do quite like Chris Harris, will be good to see how he goes on Top Gear.

That's an interesting lineup.

Sabine and Eddie for some serious cred and the others for comedic or "everyman" value...

Stig for...well...test drives.

The line-up of hosts gives me the impression of Top Gear going back to the Pre Clarkson\Willman era (2002 - 2015).

Almost how Top Gear used to be when the likes of Jeremy, Tiff, Vicky and Quentin were hosting during the 90's

I can't imagine a series with Tiff and Clarkson in the same screen, it would be annoying overload. Nightmare.

I stopped watching 5th Gear because of him, and the other fairly annoying woman, who was barely tolerable but together was too much.

I can't stand Tiff either.  He's just so...poncy.

I think that BBC TV is trying to kill off Top Gear with 7 presenters..

How many presenters does it take to replace Clarkson, Hammond and May? Seven, apparently.

Cheerio TG.

I think it's fairly obvious they are mixing it up so that people can't draw direct comparisons. Smart move on their part and I'd say that with that mix they will still get viewers over time. Everyone is replaceable, and the old trio will probably find that out sooner rather than later. For what it's worth I always thought Richard's character was superfluous and only designed to keep american viewers mildly entertained.

Hammond was there to do the (dangerous) stuff the others wouldn't do, like crash a dragster at 200 mph+.

7? It will be a bulletin rather than a show.

The comedic items in top gear - polar challenge, caravans etc were fun/entertaining.
The rest of the program was overopinionated Bs as far as I was concerned. I mean Clarkson reviewing a Japanese car (that I can't recall) and saying that he couldn't find any fault with it, but it was Japanese and therefore he didn't like it. I stopped watching then - and he got much worse later. Clarkson fans would happily watch him reading the phone book and laughing at peoples names hugely entertaining. His new show will be huge.

The other thing that nicked me off was the continuous diet of absolutely unattainable cars that they reviewed. Fair enough, they exist. Review them. Interesting once in a while. But how about a balance of 'ordinary' cars that normal (non millionaire top gear presenters) might buy. Perhaps that's what made the star in a reasonably priced car quite interesting.

I think the new line-up shows promise. Might start watching again. Quite like matt Leblanc. He is really good in 'episodes' and quite dryly funny when I saw him a couple of times on the Graham Norton show. The other presenters all have credibility.

If they test and review cars target than destroy and opinionate I would gladly watch. I share your sentiments.

I see Harris and Schmidt as the main "testers" aka drifting :)
