Spoiler alert!!!

Reviews from Telegraph and  BBC are online:

"Writing in The Evening Standard, Ben Travis described it as a "stunningly beautiful show".

"Writing in The Guardian, Sam Wollaston said: "More than format, more even than the amount of money you throw at something, what really gives a television show its personality is the personnel."

Well I agree with all the reviews including user reviews Amazon apart from the BBC (!) who seemed to have taken a sour grape attitude.

Good to see the team together again and the chemistry and scripting is as funny as ever.  I could not bear watching the new TG only enduring about 15 minutes of the first episode before turning it off. This time the time went past so quickly.

I didn't enjoy it in 4K as I only was using an Amazon Fire Stick but 1080P to my 60" plasma was just fine.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Great to see it "return".

Cinematography was amazing!

Great to see them punch right off with the three way race Top Gear promised before the biff.

Looking forward to next week!

Nothing yet about NZ TV broadcast, but we can sign up for a free Amazon Prime (US) 30-day trial, as they have removed the geo-restriction for TGT.  This gets us through until the official global launch of TGT.

They put up a video about something to do with making it available worldwide sometime in december, so not too long for those without prime to wait.

I didnt even have to have my unblocker configured, it came up in the things to watch when abroad on the fire tv and just worked perfectly so I guess once they let those without a prime sub buy it, should be good for everyone.

Good to see the boys back. I enjoyed the first episode and you could tell it was filmed and edited on a bigger budget.

I liked it.

Format was slightly modified from Top Gear. But yes its like your old Top Gear team are back. BBC are in trouble, they screwed up this one.

Bloody fantastic. It's all about the banter. And the new Top gear team didn't have that.

Had a giggle about the knocking down the house thing... I remember reading an article many months back about how his neighbors were annoyed with the house being destroyed. I guess we will see in future episodes!

Yeah I enjoyed it too. I especially liked the start, leading up to the congregation in the desert. Will be interesting to see how it develops.

The banter seemed a little less easy than usual, but it is the first episode.

It is pretty much top gear with a bigger budget. Not sure on the tent thing and it wasn't perfect. Really it is the Clarkson show so I can see why the other two followed him. A million times better than the last season of top gear

There could be a rumored 7.2 million pound worth of reasons why they followed him...

Definitely enjoyed the first half of the show until i fell asleep.

Got the the point where they were racing the 3 Hyper cars on their average as heck over rated hyped up race track that you would have a head on collision if you drove 2 cars around it.

I think the whole top gear format was great for top gear, Now its just a stale mate. There is not much originality but cant complain to have them back.

The tent is a cool idea, It is tied into the name - The Grand Tour. For 12 weeks they are touring the globe with their tent and crew. Excellent concept i believe. There was a lot of grated cheese thrown on the show this episode though. Like the guest entries.

I like the fact there is 12 episodes. 6-8 seemed far to low. I am hoping there is a bit more car reviewing like in the old days.

I really liked the cinematography from the new TOP GEAR (esp the fast car scenes where I felt a real sense of the speed they were going) , I thought it superior to the old TG, and better than TGT (Is it a co-incidence the Acronyms are so similar?).

Is TG in 4K via Amazon (too lazy to check, but I'd assume so).
