Before I take to the dealer, would like to know if I can get more information to arm/prepare myself

Subaru with auto windows that go fully down, then fully up the other way.

But one day it won't open at all, then when it did, it would travel about 3 inches per push instead of all the way.

I'm guessing it's either electronical or physical issue?

I'm guessing you mean the '1 press' down & up isn't working on the driver's window?

What year is it? That sometimes happens after disconnecting the battery.

I'm pretty sure the owner's manual has a reset sequence. Don't have one here with me now though.

Every subaru I've owned has had that problem. Usually comes and goes.
