Hi There!

We bought an Imported 2015 Audi A4 and it differs from the NZ New ones we drove in a couple of ways:

1) We can't seem to get a display of the KM/H in the center dashboard. We could do this by pressing on the stalk on the right hand side in the NZ New Ones. It's something my wife is very keen on.

- Fixed, there is a button UNDER the stalk which displays that (in case anyone cares).

2) It has an Electronic Handbrake and Automatic Handbrake feature. It also seems to roll backward on an incline, something I haven't had happen in a modern auto before. The Combination of the rolling back, and the auto handbrake makes parking on an incline .. unpredictable because there is a delay between applying the accelerator, and the car moving..

It probably rolls back on an incline because it's not an automatic transmission, it's a DSG (more like a manual transmission with a robotic clutch).

I'm familiar with vw, not Audi, but is there an autohold button? The vw I've driven in this mode will hold the brakes until the accelerator is tapped.
You can do hillstarts by holding accelerator then releasing parkbrake. Or use left foot technique.

As already posted, these are automated clutch gearboxes, not torque converter slush boxes. Quite different.

Try pushing the brake (pedal) further in; it should have a two-step function where the deeper press holds the car steady on an incline allowing you to then release the brake pedal and hit the accelerator without rolling back.

Possibly it's different with the push button handbrake, but that's how it works with the old fashioned manual handbrake.
