Does anyone on here know whether I need to take everything apart (as shown in YouTube videos) or will it be easier as an aftermarket stereo has already been fitted?

From memory the black plastic surround should pop off exposing 4 screws holding the radio in place.

use a large putty knife something that has a wide non flexing area rather than a screw driver start from the bottom with slow even pressure. you will also need to tap into the stereos 12v accessory wire to power the expander

The plastic did pop off but still needed to take it all apart cos 2 of the 4 screws were hidden.

I also found out that ESP panel clips has broken off (must have been from previous installer).

Now I've seen it's a standard aerial connection, but it goes into a block connector of some kind.

Not sure how to connect it up?

Thanks

The latter appears to be a pre out, designed for connecting to an amplifier, output, not input, based on the text I can see in the photo. I'm assuming this is running off the back of the head unit? Sorry not too sure on the aerial connection.

You can get adaptors for those aerial plugs to change them to normal car radio aerial connector.

Hope it works better than the job Toyota did on my Alphard when they imported it. The FM reception is useless unless the signal is really strong.

Quick update and finally got an expander fitted, what a relief, 4 CDs were starting to make me go crazy haha.

The only problem is I can't find radio Hauraki, pretty much my favourite station. Am I doing something wrong, or was the 14mhz one the wrong one to get?
