Ah, the McLaren 650S. Not bad.

I was lucky enough to see a whole bunch of them when McLaren ran the 'Epic NZ Tour 2016'.

They were all parked up under Queens wharf in Wellington. There was this one (650S), the hardcore version (675LT), as well as the rest, (12C's, 570S, 570GT, P1, F1, rare 650S Le Mans).

They make quite a noise just at idle.

And if you happen to have a spare $360K just lying around, you can have one too. See Here

The successor to the 650S is fairly epic as well, the 720S

Theres' a Hurracan (I think or some other Lamborghini) that visits a house up the road.  Nice.  Guy drives like a bit of an idiot though....and they're really not designed for residential roads/driveways.  Too low.

Traffic jam in Auckland makes even that car look like a turtle, not Ninja Turtle, just a turtle :-)

The Huracan can raise up to about 175mm ground clearance at low speed (below about 70k), which is around the same as the likes of the Ford Fiesta. It's 'normal' ground clearance is only about 135mm, though, which is relatively low.

Funny. You'd have to pay ME to drive a noisy car. Serious.

The car I most want to drive in the world right now, is the new Audi R8, the highest spec one.

There is a McLaren movie that is just out here in England (Guess NZ too), along similar lines to Senna as I understand.

The problem I have with the R8 is it looks too much like a TT...

Pretty much, same with motorbikes. I hear some seriously loud twins yet I only every see boyracers pulled over.

xpd:... even the idle sounds had me drooling ...
Aren't these sounds now synthesised or reinforced by electronic or mechanical sound systems? Eg Soundaktor so with speakers one could simulate any desired effect.
