As it looks like we now have a few EV owners in the GeekZone fold

I wonder how much interest there would be to have a meetup somewhere central to all where one can swap stories and driving tips on ones experience

I realise that due to the length of NZ we may have issues finding a central location for all (especially with enough charging points)but if we get a feel for who is where we might be able to decide on a common location to meet

Curious non EV owners  may also want to come along to get more info on EV ownership

Not very central geographically, but much closer population-wise. :-)

The first "EVWorld" is to be held in Auckland on September 8th and 9th. It coincides with iInternational Drive Electric Week (9th to the 17th).

The 8th is an industry day and costs $850+GST.
The 9th is a public day and it's free.

The venue is the Vodafone Events Centre at 770 great South Road, Wiri, Manukau (Auckland).

I might see if I can get up there for that, it sounds like it might be worth checking out.
