Just wondering if anyone has a Skyline (2007/2008ish) that I could ask some questions of :)

Hoping (fingers crossed) if things go well, I can upgrade my car in a few months,  and am a fan of Nissans, particularly the Skylines so thought "hey why not" ;)

Would be looking at the 250GT sedan. Would mainly be for tripping around Auckland, with occasional blast down to Rotorua/Hastings.

So on we go....

Anything outstanding bad I should be aware of ? :-p

Stereo - do you still have the factory one - in Japanese or is there someone out there that can do conversions ?

Fuel consumption - I know, as with any vehicle, the heavier the foot, the bigger the bill ;) But how do you find it ? I currently get 600km from my little Wingroad but thats only 1.5L, so I know going to 2.5 is going to change things a bit.

Servicing - on average ? Any price shocks ? :)

Probably more I should be asking but its a start ;)

TIA

Dont own, but driven a few (as thought I wanted one).

I didnt like the back seat leg room...

Stereo can be easily replaced with aftermarket options that will fit the dash.

As with all Nissans, the underhood is crowded, so if you like to tinker...it will be a task to do this.

Also check insurance.... theres a few of these around... but do they get stolen alot?  Im not sure.

I have no care for fuel economy.

Back seat not too worried about, would only be kids really for any length of time.

Stereo - umm dont think can replace easily :)  https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/plusw/645689902.jpg

The engines in these aren't known for responding well to tinkering, so no issue there - if it was a GTR or r32/33/34 Skyline, then hell yes it'd be getting a few changes ;)

And insurance dosent bother me much, I use to have a twin turbo Legacy, they were of "interest" to certain parties. These Skylines not so much, again if was earlier 90's model, then yup, would be high on the stolen list.
