So yesterday we purchased a new vehicle for the fleet...!

A Dragon Red Vespa Sprint 50.

Always fancied the iconic Vespa and we managed to get a brand new, 2 year factory warranted one (last year's MY but little difference) for $1500 off list. It will be summer fun whizzing to the village, round the vineyards and so on.

Half cogitated going up a size to the 150cc but there is a big price increase for that (up to almost $7500), I suspect that the 50cc would sell quicker if we wanted rid of it and we do not really need the extra power just to buzz about locally on flat roads with no traffic.

Also of course going to 150 would have licence requirements that a 50 does not.

It'll be fun!

I had to google this to see what it was, thought it was some kind of small convertible sports car. :-)

I hear that hipster men love scooters.... especially when the wind blows up their dresses.

Trust me, I am about as far from being a hipster as it is possible to get...!!

Call it a midlife crisis purchase.

We seem to have a plague of idiots with incredibly noisy race bikes who come out as soon as it is dark and scream round the local roads.

I've begun ringing the Police every time they do it now, in the hope they get caught.

The wine cyclists are an easier problem to deal with!

We have noticed that. A lot have taken the baffles out of their exhausts so makes sitting outside dinning somewhat unpleasant
