First off, thanks to everyone who has contributed to this forum. It took some time but I've read most of the way though and it's great to hear read all of your experiences.

I'm interested in getting a Leaf and I was wondering what dealers sellers you recommend and why.

I suppose the first question is where do you live?

Happy to recommend a dealer in Dunedin, but not sure that will help anyone living in Auckland :)

Sorry! I'm interested mainly in the North Island, but if the deal was worth it I'd look to the South Island as well.

The Leaf dealers that seem to be active in the EV community on Facebook and always get favorable mentions are;

Auckland

Autolink Cars http://www.autolinkcars.co.nz

GVI Electric http://www.gvielectric.kiwi/

Plug'n'Drive https://www.plugndrivenz.com/

Taupo

EV Central http://evcentral.co.nz/

I am probably looking to buy next year so have been across the 'NZ EV Owners' Facebook group which I recommend you join and is a great place to ask questions about EV's.

Looks to be a big EV presence at this weekends Big Boys Toys including test drives etc.

I bought my first and second LEAFs through Autolink. I was very happy both times. The owner, Henry, is a little bit crusty / no-boundaries......but he knows his stuff. Sarah Ryan is good value. I've mainly dealt with her.

GVI have come on strong. I don't think you can go wrong there.

Murray Porter and Fiona Landon are "PlugnDrive" and they are committed to electric cars and doing right by anyone they deal with.

EV Central became "famous" mainly through the efforts / enthusiasm of Steve Greenwood. He's left them and now run s "Drive EV" in Taupo.

David Lees' "Volt Vehicles" is small, but has a good reputation.

Same here, quite happy with their service and range of Leafs available.

I would recommend Martin Harwood as being honest dealer with many years on the market, currently having a lot of Leafs and e-NV200 in stock.
