Hey guys,

Apologies if wrong sub, I couldn't find a board for car audio/ In Car Entertainment

Bit of a head scratcher here, I've exhausted every option and I'm stumped.

On Saturday I paid an exorbitant amount of money for a JVC KD-X341BT head unit + installation because I'm stupid.

My partner can connect to the Bluetooth with absolutely no problems, but it just refuses to stay connected to my phone.

When I try pair my phone I receive the passcode and make sure it matches. The LCD display on the stereo shows "Pairing Completed" then after about 30 seconds it beeps and shows "no audio device available"

I then need to do the following to connect: forget pairing > turn Bluetooth off > reboot phone > turn Bluetooth on > pair with stereo > success.

From this point on I can make and receive calls as well as listen to Spotify until I turn the car off, at this point I need to do the entire process again (which takes about 3 minutes).

I'm wondering if its my phone. My partner and I both have Nokia 6's but she's on Android 7 and I'm on 8.

So, yeah. Pretty annoying.

I had similar with my Sony once. I cleared all the pairings from both phone and stereo and then paired again. Fine ever since.

I think plugging in via USB does the pairing too, you could try that instead of the conventional method. Might need the JVC app.
