The Hazard

On Tiguan and Touran vehicles with background lighting of the Panorama sun roof of a limited production period the electric connectors of the LED modules for the left and right background lighting in the front area of the Panorama sun roof were not attached in the factory, as the use of the background lighting could lead to further complaints or damage because of humidity ingress into the LED module.

On Tiguan Allspace vehicles of a certain production period one or both nuts of the bolted connections of the front (left and right) swivel joints on the wheel bearing housing may not have been tightened with the correct torque.

What to do

Owners will be notified in writing and should make an appointment with their nearest dealership to arrange to have the work completed.
