Hi all - I'm off to Europe with the family shortly (wife and kids 5/8).

My wife's uncle has said he can pick us up at Heathrow but he drives a 3 door Ford Fiesta. The youngest will be in a booster seat and the oldest will be in the standard seat belt. We won't be travelling with much luggage so we figure we can use the boot/people's knees for that but I just don't have any experience with how wide these cars are? Can we fit three across the back seat (one booster seat, one adult and one kid)?

My gut feeling is we'll be able to but I don't want to have to try and do some mental logistics to get us to our accommodation after 30 hours on the go....

Thanks very much.

With only a booster, you should be able to get an adult and 2 kids in the back, (a small adult would be best thou)

- what sort of distance are you expecting to travel??

its the luggage that will kill you...  how much will you have,

Thanks - we only plan on checking in a couple of bags, then have a little bit of hand luggage - nothing over the top. The adult in the back seat is 5 foot 3 so reasonably small.

The trips about 30k. According to google maps at this time of the night, it'll take about 30mins. Obviously more during the day, but manageable I think.
