So took my Suzuki Swift last week to the dealer to have its service, I found that the tires had all been deflated by about 10psi so from the normal 36psi down to 26psi..made me wonder why my fuel efficiency dropped dramatically.

If that's the factory spec for the car, then not at all upset.

Yes you should be.

 

Check the panel on the door, but looks like they should be more around the 36psi front, 32psi rear.

 

Maybe call them and find out why.

 

Also check the spare tyre

I suggest checking that your gauge is accurate first, and check the manufactures pressure recommendations. If you still think they have underinflated your tyres just give them a call and ask.

Most often a simple polite conversation can solve these sorts of issues. People seem reluctant to simply pick up the phone these days.

Sorry if was not clear, 36psi is the factory spec by the door jab, will give them a call tomorrow :)

And I took my Suzuki to the dealer last week, because the book and sticker said service was due (based on it being 1 year)...

I didn't get a loan car so had to kick stones for 90 minutes, when they said it was ready I came back and was told it was all done... As I'm walking out the door I heard someone say "did you tell him we didn't service the car because it wasn't due?"... I kept walking, sure enough nothing had been done except new sticker and stamp on book... Not current kms, but backdated.



So I went and asked about this and was told that it would have been serviced before I purchased it from another dealer that transferred the stock. It would be a first, but I could imagine someone doing the service and forgetting to stamp the book and change the sticker... But the km the service was apparently completed at... Well i owned the car before those km, so if they did do it that's 3 mistakes they made.

As a result they've lost a customer who gets services done every 6 weeks across his "fleet" of vehicles.

Most Suzukis are 15,000km or 1yr or 10,000km or 1yr for turbo models. They get an inspection to check if anything is falling off after 1000km. I told the dealer the only item at risk was the towbar fitted locally and I hadn't used it yet. The first service is not likely to include more than an oil change. Whether or not they would have changed the oil before you got it would depend on how many kms.
