The Tesla website now seems to be saying that the Christchurch Service Centre is open for business: https://www.tesla.com/en_NZ/findus/location/service/christchurch.
I haven't seen another other announcements though.
To any Tesla owners in Christchurch or rest of the South Island: have you received any communications from Tesla on this?
