The Hazard

The fuel tank retaining strap may exceed the design standard due to an oversize fuel tank being installed during manufacturing. In the worst case: The fuel tank strap may break, causing the tank to dislodge and/or leak fuel. To prevent the possibility of this occurring to your vehicle, your Mazda Dealer will, at no charge, inspect the production numbers and if required replace the fuel tank with new parts.
