Hi All

I have recently got the JVC-KW-M750BT, kinda wish I upgraded to the next model to get wireless carplay

But I have seen this adapter. Just wondering if anyone else has tried one of these?

Seems like your head unit would surely need to be compatible for this to work?

Yeah I have only seen mixed results online people saying yes and no to multiple headunits.

It seems to be coming down to which way you hold your tongue as you plug the devices into your car stereo at the moment

They claim that head the head unit doesn't need to be compatible with wireless Carplay. Once the adapter is plugged into the USB socket then it presents to the head unit as if the phone was directly wired.

I have no experience with these devices but I wonder what the use case if. Surely this adapter having out of the front of your head unit is uglier than a cable to your phone? I though about wireless Carplay but for me the 45mins each way in the car each day is when I charge my phone. I reckon wireless Carplay is only really useful if the car is also equipped with a wireless charging pad.

I disagree. I have wireless CarPlay without a charging pad and it means that for short trips I have my music available without even taking my phone out of my pocket. For long trips I can just plug in. Having wireless doesn't mean you lose the ability to use wired also.

I have my USB ports at the back of my unit with cables coming around to a faceplate. I would just put this USB adapter in the middle.

It's an interesting concept, and would solve an issue I have with my car. I have a Qi pad integrated into the console but I can't use it if I'm using Android Auto or CarPlay (depending on which of my phones I'm using). I'd be keen to give this a go but for $100 it's a bit of a gamble.

Any takes want to test it out first? :)

If the concept works then one of the established accessory manufacturers like Belkin will make a better quality version of it. Until then I'd suggest holding on to your $100.
