Just had my first service on our Nov 2018 built Kia Sportage Urban EX. (purchased Feb 2019) There is a software/firmware update to the Infotainment system.

The latest version is:

Software: QLPE,AUS,SOP,V096,190621,DAU_A

Firmware: QLPE,AUS,285,190523,MICOM,DL

There are minor UI changes but the big improvement is Bluetooth connectivity, especially with better volume and it just seems snappier over all.

Nice, I have a 2018 built LX Diesel. Hopefully get the update on my next service.

Not that I have any issues with the current one.

Where can you tell what version it currently has?

Just got ours serviced, yes noticed a difference but couldn't quite put my finger on what it was, so thanks.  There was also an upgrade to the transmission system control so I believe.

@trig42

Settings > swipe left > System Info (this is on page 5-8 in the Car Multimedia System Users Manual) 🎓

I stated "especially with better volume" By that I mean the sound is crisper with better clarity. It sounded a bit muffled & low before and I had to turn the volume up. Now it sounds and responds like it is USB connected to CarPlay.

EDIT: I must admit I did ASK FOR ALL system software/firmware upgrades and made sure it was on the work order. Someone told me, a couple of years ago, to ensure that as sometimes some mechanics forget.
