Hi Everyone

I was wondering if it is possible to change the fog lights and those bar-like looking lights beside them on a mazda cx-7 model

For reference here is an up close image of both on either side of the vehicle:

and here is a more broader view of the same:

Do you mean that you want to replace the original fog lights, with LED daytime running lights?

Try eBay, AliExpress, and the like. There's possibly an aftermarket unit you can just bolt in where the existing unit is. Just be aware that if you want daytime running lights, they'll need to be able to be wired to comply with the rules. That is, daytime running lights should come on when the car is running, but switch off as soon as the park/headlights are turned on.

Just be a little careful as simply upgrading the bulb to an LED is likely to be illegal in NZ.  You might get away with the driving light as it isn't a focused beam, ,but the fog light (and headlight) assembly that is not designed for an LED bulb as far as the reflector/lens/focus etc is concerned is not permitted and you may fail a WOF.  Replacing the whole light assembly with an LED designed and standards compliant unit is permitted, cheap conversions off Ebay usually not.

On my F-in-laws  CX5 the DLR turn off about  2 minutes after you turn the motor off and exit the car.  My CX5 doesn't have any so the headlights do the same thing.

That sounds like an exit lighting feature, so you can see you surroundings when getting out of the car at night. It just uses the DLR for this. Some cars use park lights for this, some use headlights. Two minutes is a long time, though! Do they also come on when you unlock the car with the remote?

Nothing to do with requirements for switching the DRL off when headlights come on when installed as an add-on accessory when your headlights come on, though.

I wired up DRL's on my Mazda MPV.

They are powered from an accessory feed in the relay box in the engine bay. The feed must still be powered after the car is turned off as it takes them about 1-2 mins before they turn off.

I tried to find the kind of halogen bulb that is used but the manual doesn't mention the kind. I think its H-11 or something like that
