Howdy guys,

We have a 2014 Range Rover Evoque - daytime running lights don’t seem to be running.

Wondered if anyone has any tricks to enable them?

I believe the car is ex Japan.

Cheers!

How are you testing? Some only come on when the car is in Drive.

Yeah it’s my partners car and noted they weren’t on when she was following me one day.

We did a few of the online things we found such as:

Make sure the vehicle's ignition is switched off, and the lighting switch is in the Off position (1).

Switch the vehicle's ignition on. See SWITCHING ON THE IGNITION.

Turn the lighting switch to the Low beam headlamps on position (3).

Turn the lighting switch back to the Off position (1).

Press and hold the rear fog lamp switch (8) for more than 2 seconds.

Release the rear fog lamp switch.

Turn the lighting switch to the Low beam headlamps on position (3).

Turn the lighting switch back to the Off position (1).

Turn the vehicle's ignition off.

Didn’t work for us after a few goes.

I have seen them light up when mucking around but we just haven’t been able to get them to run as drl. I’m sure there is a way to enable them - hence my post wondered if anyone else has had any luck.

It is going to be serviced soon so they may be able to reprogram.

IME with Land Rover (I’ve owned 9 so far) the more modern ones have ‘hidden’ settings that require the dealer to alter them.

It’s possible this is one of them.

Alternatively, check the fuses in case the DTRL are on a separate one but I wouldn’t imagine they are.

As with most things LR these days it’s probably a dealer fix.
