I drove the waterview tunnel Wednesday evening first time in a while. My windows were slightly open.

The tunnel smelled sulfurous maybe like sewage. I have driven through many times and not noticed any issues.

I wondered - is there a problem with the nearby central interceptor project?

Interesting you mention that, i got a whiff about a week ago after heavy rain.

But fobbed ot off as one of the kids dropping one, although they denied it

Lol likewise I asked the same question. By the end of the tunnel it was obvious there was something external and quite strong.

Could be due to the Anniversary weekend floods? Sewerage got washed in and hasn't been cleaned out?
