I have found some mag wheels in UK that I want to import, air freight is prohibitive. and I am struggling to find a way to import via sea.

I got a quote from main freight LCL.. and it was more than air freight.

Sadly Youshop doesn't do sea freight from UK

Does anyone know how to import LCL cheaply from UK to Lytellton

Look at moving companies, there are those that do international and from box > container. You likely want door > door (not port > port) and import stuff sorted.

My brother used to do this about a decade ago, but from NZ to the US. NZ post was by far and away the cheapest and by air. This doesn't help of course. What kind are they? Are they something uniquely European that you can't find easily here?

Edit. I remembered he would send them individually. IE in their own wheel box. It must have cut down on the shipping dramatically due to the smaller volume. Not once did all four wheels fail to turn up. So that might be an option too?
