A victim of the recent Tranny Gully reseal, I took the mrs. car in to Novus to get a windscreen chip repaired.  (Covered by insurance, seamless transaction.)

The repair feels smooth, but although not large, it's quite prominent  (I hear that quite a lot.)

Is this the expected standard?  (It's not in line of sight so it's not bothersome, but not exactly like new, is it?)

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I have a similar issue with one repaired on my parents car, but it is right in my line of sight and is slightly worse then your repair. I have said they should get it replaced but they can't be bothered because they say it doesn't bother them and it would be too time consuming taking it to the dealer due to all the electrics hooked up to it . eg rear view mirror LCD screen and cameras and sensors etc.

That looks pretty shoddy TBH. I had a chip done by Novus Masterton (they are all franchises) and you can't see where it was from any angle.
