Any Wellington GZers know of any where that has a non contact car wash system. Challenge service stations used to have them, (water blaster type) but dont appear to any more.

Caltex VIC have had one for as long as I can remember. The last time I tried the Shell across the road I think they had one there as well - of course it's been a while since the car was washed;-)

Pretty sure the Shell station on Customhouse Quay/Featherston St has a big sign on their car wash to that effect. (Fires up Googlemaps...) Hmm, maybe not, but perhaps that picture is old. They're (04) 473 6074‎ :)

To be honest I haven't seen a non brushless cashwash for many years now. Virtually everybody has them.

I find they dont work. I have ended up with a shiny coat over grey the last few times I have used one - touch it and a big smudge appears down to the cars colour.

Getting a refund from them is a right challange too. The angry man was telling me that my car was washed. I told them that it wasnt clean as a result.

Got a refund in the end. Worst $18 ever spent. Better to pay the neighbours kids that and give them a bucket and sponge and let them at it.

They are not as good as doing it yourself agreed, but for a quick blast in between proper washes they are fine. Went to one of those fund raiser car washes a while ago and the kids were busy chucking the sponges at each other, trouble was when they hit the ground they were picking up small stones and grit, ended up with some mighty scratches along the car, so flag them now.
