Found out DSE Johnsonville was closed today .

For good, or just on Monday? I was there last Monday and it was shut, however, it was open the rest of the week.

Just been there. Johnsonville is still open.

Somehow they now had a new 12V 7Ah battery so I swapped it with the 8V one they originally sold me. They didn't have any multimeter available to check the new one so will check it tonight. Didn't make them refund the old one due to it being faulty and then buy the newer one at the new cheaper price.

Just went to the Fston St (Welly) store and picked up a couple of HDMI cables for a rainy day.

They have a iPhone 5C in their cabinet with a price of $800-odd (5% off lol). I asked if they'll do a deal on that given I can get a 16GB 5S from NL for $499 - no deal (no managers around) sadly, would have been a good we phone for Mrs SIW... I'm sure a good 5/s deal will pop up soon enough.

Not much else going on in store, I felt sorry for the young bloke in there on his own. Oh well... on the flip side I got fantastic service from NL across the road yesterday when buying a new phone (will be adding my Z3c into the O&W thread tonight after checking I still have the receipt/box lol) and had a good yarn about the current market and where things are heading - times are tough, it's all about adding value and great service.

Yes I was just reflecting on how Noels has upped their game this last few months.

I guess their main period of competition was the fire sale in Dec last year.

Lots of ex demo Apple stuff for about $200 off at the Puki store still... Last day though.

Having issues loading a pic today, ask if you keen on a particular one and I'll pm you the prices?

Um. Wouldn't that be "Rangitikei St DSL 29-Apr-16"?

Paramatta and George Street on 2nd & 3rd May. I have been into those two and they were much better and busier than any NZ DSE I have seen.

So went into Featherston (Wellington) today and left feeling sad and wondering what music they were playing. A quick search of "Emotional Instrumental" on YouTube brought me to the exact playlist they were playing when I was in there:

Also I left empty-handed. Nothing in there that I wanted. I might pop in during their last days to the stores across Wellington to nab any other deals however I can almost guarantee everyone else will have the same idea. If anyone sees a good TV deal (as in - don't care about brand, just want something 42+in) then let me know :)

Collecting assorted cables for future use was great last week.

Those few TV, computers, iPod, phones, still remaining, are not that cheap or to close to a special with a real warranty elsewhere.

So... Wednesday today, where all the further discounts at!

My store had an ipod although not sure if it was the 5th or 6th gen. But they were only giving 15% off. Also had some of the old apple tv's The stupid thing is that they have been discounting them more at the warehouse, and they will at least provide warranty and CGA coverage. Buying from DS, you would have to deal with apple directly.
