Finch:

I posted in the other DSE thread but didn't get a response..

Does anybody know if any of the WGTN stores have any Iphones left?

Thanks

As above, they've got a blue 5C but wouldn't budge on price beyond 5%... I lol'ed.

Picked up a 650VA UPS for $55. It did need a new battery (I think it'd been sitting around too long) but as luck would have it I had a suitable one sitting around :)

Looks like they are now giving 25% off apple i-watches, which isn't bad if you are in the market for one. The catch could be that it is off their 'original price', so that maybe higher than apples current RRP.

One of my mate went to DSE in Queen St and asked if they have a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable for sale.

The guy pulled one out of the back of a TAB and gave and said "here you go - free" thanks.

Mate started to think after he left if he was an actual employee there or not as he did not have a dress code ;)

I don't think they are worrying too much about that, as the dress code at my local one was very slack too.

Things selling out at Riccarton. Some $1 dollar boxes with cable connectors & similar random stuff. 6 days to go.

I doubt many of the staff give a $hit about the corporate image now.

Nice!    Just goes to show that there is still some nice stuff in the Dick Smith shops AND at a very good price now.

When I was in their lower hutt store on Thursday evening late night, they still had quite a few apple watches in boxes. Also quite a few other apple product, probably because most other apple things aren't really reduced by all that much.   Even though there was almost nothing left, it was really busy . The staff there seemed really upbeat and helpful too.

FYI the Apple watches have a inflated original price, at 25% off they were at most $50 cheaper than the normal Apple Store price (not on sale).

Lower Hutt store should shut now. Nothing to see here, move along.

Did you not pick up one of their old shop 15" LCD till monitors for $70? 50% off the marked price of $140 is a bargain!
