6FIEND:
Jaxson: This thread is open to more than just the one printer deal ;-)

Here's something out of left field...   A deal for sellers instead of a deal for buyers :-)

I ordered this from an NZ retailer a little while ago, and it mysteriously went missing in the post :-(
http://www.fishpond.co.nz/Books/Game-of-Thrones-George-R-R-Martin/9780007441426

RRP was $79.99

I haven't been able to find another copy for sale anywhere, so I'll offer to pay double the price if anyone wants to sell me theirs?

From a quick cursory google search you may be out of luck, there is an American hard cover slip case version on Amazon which is available from $20 used or $35 new plus shipping. The particular one you're after seems far less common and the few copies going are in the hundreds of dollars.

Ahh...  was afraid that might be the case...  (I did really want it to match the other 4 that I have...)

Oh well, if anyone has one that they feel like selling, hit me up - you may get lucky ;-)

That's an option...  but I'd rather not have to deal with an unknown individual on the other side of the world.

Many thanks for this W/H Stationery Canon 25% trade-in deal. Unfortunately I went in yesterday with my (HUGE) old printer to trade in but the deal expired the day before (on 29/9/13). Do sing out it if you see it repeated or elsewhere. Cheers

Likewise if anyone sees any other deals, this thread was not solely about printers ;-)

A couple of days ago I bought a Belkin StreamCast AV4 (a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver extender system) from PB Tech in Queen St, Auckland, for $101 incl gst. They had several in stock.

These things currently sell in the US (Amazon, etc) for about US$250 = NZ$320. To get it to NZ with YouShop would cost about $30, so $350 all up.

How/why PB have them so cheap - don't know but I'm happy. I reckon this is a real bargain because it was something I needed and it works really well. You can't buy a standard def AV extender for that price.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Just on the subject of printers, I got a RIHAC continuous ink system for my Epson Artisan multifunction wireless printer for NZ$180 or so around two years ago. I print moderate amounts, maybe 15 pages of text per week on average, and once a month I print 10-15 full color A4 pages. The ink tanks are about half full still, and you can get a full set of 6x100ml replacement inks quite cheaply. It's quite robust, once I picked up the printer and forgot about the ink and the CIS system swung under it, sprayed ink everywhere because it's not sealed (air has to get in), and it still works fine.

According to PriceSpy, PB have about 20 at various locations:

It is also a bit cheaper elsewhere. Alphacity has it for $75.....

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Noticed that. Anyone know if I can stick this on MySky and transmit to another TV?

It comes with a transmitter and receiver. Plug the mysky into the transmitter. Plug the receiver into the tv. Magic done. Note that the mysky has to be hdmi so won't work with the old silver box.
