With my Brother laser if you buy genuine you get a 3 year extended on site warranty no charge. For low volume users that's probably worth the extra cost over generic toner.

loceff13: iirc it was Harvey Norman($9 after cashback) with $5 off coupon stacked on each online order with pickup

You guys know that makes it $4 all up right wink

Mine is sitting on my floor right now.  No idea what I'll do with it but at $4 it seemed silly not to.

Wonder if these printers have got some way of fooling them into believing that the tone cart is not empty??

I'm using $9 one from HN, good value for such a low price. Not using it too much but great to have it sitting on my table.

I'm more interested in this, does anyone have any feedback about this printer? http://pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=PTRBRT9140&name=BROTHER-MFC9140CDN-Colour-Laser-MFP-($200-cashback

Damn, lucky I decided to check Geekzone before bed then! Just grabbed one (it was having issues doing pickup though? Could be my browser but hate messing with couriers)
Was gonna hold off but saw posts above saying it had toner to start with. Sweet. Saves me buying a new cartridge for my inkjet lol. Been printing my notes for uni in red ink for the last few weeks since the black ran out,

I almost grab one.
I checked from work at 7pm and it was free  shipping.
By the time I got home (1 hour later) shipping was back to 11$.
Shipping from PB Tech seems to be a bit of a random thing.
If someone can explain me how it works...
