I'm not proud of it. But I wouldn't worry too much as we produce "enough" none recyclable rubbish already.

richms: FFFFF, birkenhead new world doesn't take paywave, so or course its the one time I dont have my wallet on me. Back home and back there and they are out of the holders too. But they will call me when they have them in - Tui moment I expect.

I was there too around 4pm today and told the customer service I got the machine without the holder early this week. They checked my receipt and happily gave me a holder for free! Now that was good customer service! :D

So probably I took the last holder in that shop or at least made contribution to your Tui time. :D

For 3rd party Nespresso pods, $0.90-0.95 each is a very very high price, only about 10% lower than Nespresso brand. I don't see the point.

You can get around 30%+ lower price in the supermarket brands.

The point is the pods are biodegradable

If that is a concern, then there are lots of biodegradable Nespresso pods available in Pakn Save for about 0.60-0.70 each.

The original Nespresso and Dolce Gusto pods are both recyclable in NZ, doesn't matter it's metal or plastic. So I think that's not too bad, some might think recycle is better than just throw away.

Although we don't know how much energy is need for the pod recycling, it might not worth it. So that could be purely a marketing thing. :D
