it says you have to copy the getflix DNS number to your router (or your pc's dns settings)

Configure DNS

Afer you have signed up for Getflix, you must update your DNS settings. You have 2 options:

    1. Update the DNS settings for your entire network by changing the DNS settings on your router/modem. This option ensures that any device connected to your network will be able to access unblocked services.

OR

  1. Update the DNS settings on any individual device you wish to use to unblock services. This option means that unblocked services can only be accessed using these devices.

Option 1 should be used if you know how to configure DNS settings on your router. Setup guides for various routers can be found here. The remainder of this section describes how to change DNS settings on individual devices.

Select the device from the menu on this page for instructions on how to configure DNS settings as well as setup Netflix and Hulu Plus.

Yeah I have followed their instructions for the second option, updating the DNS settings for my PC. I can't see that I have missed anything in their instructions and I don't fancy changing router settings when I don't really know what I'm doing. I have obviously missed something if this service works for people but can't see what it is unless it's something they assume you know and don't make clear in the instructions. Guess I'll email their support and see if they can tell me what I am doing wrong.

I had the same issue, manually set the DNS servers on my PC - it wouldn't recognise it.

I turned off IPv6, and it was immediately happy.

I changed the settings on my PC to the two NZ servers (I created a new "location" called Getflix so that I can toggle it off and on easily) and was able to see Netflix US content. I haven't tried anything else yet but I don't foresee any issues.

Yeah have disabled IPv6 too, don't understand why it doesn't work for me.

How do you do that? I would like a way to toggle it since I dont want to leave it set to their servers all the time

In OS X, System Prefs > Network > Locations > Edit > + > Name it and set the DNS. Toggle from the Apple menu.

In Windows, no idea :)

Hi, the DNS can be changed on the tg582n, I've done it before. You'll need to Telnet in to the router, I put instructions on geekzone with how to do it.http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=151&topicid=160164

The instructions are at the bottom of the above linked page.

Hi folks, can we please keep this discussion to the deal itself? If you need support please start a new topic in the appropriate sub-forum.

Cheers and thanks.
