mattwnz: That has to be a pretty obvious error. Although you can buy second hand sofas for around that price when people want to get rid of it. There are however errors that stores make that don't appear to be obvious errors, especially if they are advertising huge one in a lifetime sales., But I don't know why people would try ordering this because it is obviously an error and these Australian stores wi'll likely not honour an error they have made.

Probably not, but no harm in trying IMO

I would say that is too good to be true. Not like that JB one that was totally believable since it was only 60%ish off and in the middle of a huge sale.

I would expect HN to be more upfront than JB about the error and appologize etc tho.

The first two links could have been mistakes but the last two links were priced 1199 and 1279 when i ordered.

They now have changed to 4959 and 4799

Without actually showing us the original price of the product and ONLY showing the sale price, there would no easy way to understand if it really is an error.

I have placed an order, but if they are not going to honor it - I will not be upset about it and will hope they will issue me a refund explaining the error :)

Right now I don't think you trust any prices on their website.

For example I can't figure out if this LG Music Flow H3 is a really good deal, or another mistake.  As of writing they have it at $88, whereas it's $346 at JB, US$146 from Amazon.  According to PriceSpy they last had it for $144, so maybe it's legit?  Or they've accidentally applied a 40% discount to something that was already half-price?  Who knows...

It does say 40% off, where the ones this morning had nothing like that.

Go for it and see what happens, worst thing that will happen is they hold funds for a couple of days on your credit card

Got an email from their online sales.
They have CC'd all their customer email database that placed an order, so now I have a huge list of their customer email addresses.

Dear Valued Customer

Thank you for shopping with Harvey Norman online – unfortunately this morning between 0.01am and 8.00am there was an error with the Furniture dept. pricing.   We apologise for this genuine error and wish to advise that a customer service person will be in contact with you shortly to discuss your purchase.

Regards
