I ordered something from Mightyape a few weeks ago, told it was ready for pickup, got there and they couldnt find it... they contacted the supplier who said "nope, no more, thats it, not getting anymore stock".

So I got my money back.

What have Mightyape been advertising for the past week.... yup...the exact item I had ordered.

Advertising something and not keeping it in stock is not a good practice from consumer point of view. Inventory should be closely monitored because it brings lots of frustration for the customer at end of the day.

One can easily go to some other shop and buy stuff from there because most of the companies stock similar items and have specials around same time, but coming back to customer after few weeks with an excuse that all stock is exhausted , leaves a really bad impression + a frustrated/angry customer who has lost product which was on sale from another provider + broken dreams and sometimes angry kids/spouse/parents who have been waiting anxiously for the courier...  argghhh..

My one and only dealing with MightyApe was a product they were selling for about $10 less than the distributor (from memory something like a $150 product). I'd simply assumed they got a better deal from the distributor and ordered something like 10. Got one shipped which was obviously what they had in stock and told the others were on order. Then got the order cancelled saying the product was unavailable. As the distributor had plenty in stock, it would seem they simply hadn't updated their pricing and then didn't want to sell any more and lose money.
