99% sure of that. . . I can imagine the upset that would ripple through the tightly controlled distribution chain if apple tried something like that. 

 

I sometimes wonder why retailers bother selling iphones given the low margin and capacity for annoying CGA claims.

OT but I really like the new home "button" on the iPhone 7.  No longer do I need to worry that I'm wearing it out whenever double clicking it.

As the advert is of a watch, I suspect watches will be discounted. Often though when they have these types of promos, they provide a voucher.

It's not even a sale, its a "bonus" event.

 

A sale would indicator a discount on purchase price.  This is just a bonus gift card that can't be used until your next purchase.
