richms: How's the wheel on them? I got a g600 to try instead of a Razer Naga chroma on my gaming/design PC and hate the wheels feel of plasticy clickieness when turning

The wheel feels good to me, although maybe I'm not too fussy. It can be set to either free spinning or notchy via a button press. Nothing much more to add really.

After wasting my lunchtime going to a local HN, then trying to get the local NL to pricematch (they declined), I did the live chat thing and got it pricematched using the photo of the display in the link. I said it wasn't my photo, I was sent it to let me know about the deal, and they accepted that. Happy days.

FWIW, you can use google to find the link to it on the HN website, where it's still listed at full price, but the "Find in Store" button shows stock levels.

As of this post, the following HN's still have stock according to that: Ashburton, Mt Maunganui, Mt Roskill (AKL), New Plymouth, Rotorua, Timaru, Westgate (AKL)

Just ordered online myself using the chat:

and interestingly they say that they already have proof of that pricing so do not require proof from me.

Must be popular I have to wait in line to get my order code.

Luckily for them tomorrow is the last day of the deal...

*shakes head*

My request has been rejected twice now via their online store.

So after talking to them again it seems the person that was doing them should not have been.

So if you have placed an order your should be fine if you have not got the discount code then you are out of luck.

They are now saying they don't have any stock and removed it from there website (yet you can still use the search to find it, but don't expect it to show after the next indexing of there site).

Both HN & NL refused my request to buy from stores I knew had them. Despite my links, imagery, whatnot.

After 2 hours on the phone, wasted, I ended up having to go into HN Mt. Wellington, where I got the last one, they were no problem 'in-store', friendly even.

I have never bought before from either HN or NL, this, 1st & last time.

Charging up now... do I need to jam the small USB receiver into a computer... whats the other USB/Mini USB thingy the tiny one fits in?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

[edit] Figured it out when I went to use it in a jiffy, just stuff the tiny stick into the computer or into the bigger attachment which can be connected to the cord I guess if the computer is miles away / hidden etc... Charged him up & have been using the G900 for a few hours now - I don't know anything but it is very plainly a lot lighter, more responsive... faster etc than an apple magic mouse, its actually light years better. I used to have a logitech MX Revolution, which was ok at the time I recall, but this actually feels like F1, just so fast / responsive I am gonna go get another one tomorrow.
