Harvey Norman are currently (til 12 Jan) selling the Logitech G900 gaming mouse for $100 in store - previously never seen it below $180 here or internationally.

There is an image of the in-store ticket at this link that is repeated below - I showed the image to staff at Noel Leeming who after checking were willing (unhappily!) to price match down from $240.

They phoned Harvey Norman - indicating that as of this morning Harvey Norman had stock in at least the Mt Roskill and Mt Wellington stores.

Brief use agrees with the reviews - this mouse is stunning, especially if you are a left handed user as it is ambidextrous and customisable regarding button locations.

Oh I read it wrong, decided not to go for it , my G502 is still fine for me, can't justify the $99 to change it.

How's the wheel on them? I got a g600 to try instead of a Razer Naga chroma on my gaming/design PC and hate the wheels feel of plasticy clickieness when turning

Just tried to order one online and they basically told me to take a flying jump.

Saying it was not on HN website, gave them the link to where it was hidden on HN site (which listed the old price of 229) and then the instore price, they then said "oh HN don't have stock" when mt wellington is showing limited stock. They then told me to go into a store to get it. Asked them why people could order it yesterday online and just got pointed to there T&C's

Thanks for the heads-up.

I went past HN Dunedin yesterday and they ordered one in for me. Should be in my hands in a few days.

(Now I'll need a new excuse for my crap KDR)

I spend a fair bit of time surfing online, and have macs & use Magic Mouse / Magic Trackpad... would this option be something useful for me to have in my quiver?

It's a $250 gaming specific mouse. Unless you are gaming, it's a pretty expensive general purpose device. I have a MX Master Logitech for general office use I really love. It's super heavy and has good battery life but not suitable for gaming.

I remember paying two hundred bucks for one of these back in 1989:

I bought one a while ago for gaming on my PS4. The G900 is a great mouse, very responsive and much lighter than the broken G702s it replaced.

The attraction for me was mainly the lack of good 'full size' mice suitable for use in the left hand - the majority are right hand specific.

As would probably be expected of a $200+ gaming mouse, there are a lot of features that I will probably not get much from such as on the fly DPI adjust and multi-colour lighting...
