I ordered quite a few parts from PB just 2 days ago for a Ryzen 7 3800X build - Total cost ended up coming out at nearly $2400 so not exactly cheap. As you can expect, I was rather annoyed there was a sale on just 2 days after doing this.

So anyway long story short, I added the exact same products to the cart and sure enough it was cheaper.

How much cheaper you ask? $1.87 Cheaper.

Not really a sale if you ask me!

Oooh, what did you get? I've been planning a Ryzen build for *ages*, but first I was "in no hurry, just wait for a PBT sale, you know there will be one", then waiting on COVID, and now biding my time for B550 to launch.

One thing I can't help but notice, for example:

The Ubiquiti Unifi US-8-60w switch which I bought new from PB Tech this time last year was $229.

Now it's $300...

Other products have gone the same way too, so any "specials" wouldn't even make it close to being a better deal.

@mehrts had a look at the FX rate changes over that period when the stock was probably purchased?

The dollar has gone to crap since last year. I've seriously cut back on my aliexpress/amazon purchases because they became too much, now those lousy rates have made it thru the supply chain the local prices are worse than overseas again. For a while some unifi things were cheaper at PB even with the GST than amazon.

Nope, but it's a massive change.

I would've saved $13 on my 6 x Nest Protect order lol

Looking at the Dell 3219q, their credit card surcharge ends up making the monitor 0.13c cheaper than the presale price.. bit of a joke really

I have both the Logitech keyboard and mouse and I got them to use at work. For that they are great but I do prefer the mechanical G413 for daily use that I got for this price a while back. My only gripe with the mouse is you can't assign g shift to a button to add extra functions like you can on the ones that use g hub, really minor annoyance, generally they are comfortable to use all day though.

I may pick up the 1tb Samsung drive for $160. Annoyingly ordered a 500Gb crucial Mx for $130 a few days ago and it's stuck in transit, would pb take that back of I return it as soon as it arrives? Seems worth paying $30 for an extra 500gb.

I wonder if their 7 day peace of mind policy starts from the day the item arrives on your doorstep. I purchased a Seagate Barracuda 1tb hdd last week from PB. Would've been nice to get a SSD version for a couple of extra dollars, but it does the job and should last a few years. Only got wii and steam/epic games on it anyway. Think I need to stop buying computer related items for a few months, until all the new AMD etc etc parts come out and prices finally settle down.

I'll give it a try, I'll wait spend $130 in store at some point to use the credit. If they say no I might just stick the 500gb in the pc as a boot drive or replace my ps4 HDD.

Ordered a Logitech MK345 recently from TheMarket for $74, but they lost it when it was shipped between stores. Fought for and eventually got a refund knowing it was similarly priced at PBTech. Go to order it online at they've increased the price to $98. Luckily managed to get it on sale at Computer Lounge for $64. Definitely pays to shop around at the moment.

Looking through PriceSpy, there seems to be a couple of decent deals lurking.

As mentioned earlier by Shapenz, the Samsung 500gb SSD is at a good price.

Sennheiser IE 80 down to $399

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 down to $998 and change

Sennheiser RS 165 down to $199

Samsung 860 QVO 1TB down to $159

Samsung Galaxy S10e LED protective cover down 89% to $9

- These aren't products I usually look at, so not entirely sure how good these deals are.

Cool thanks! I picked up the S10e case. I've been wanting something to replace my yellowing transparent case for awhile. I'm glad I waited.

Allgood. I think that and this LED Flip cover case are both over 80% off

Might be best to first do some review reading on Whirlpool forum or elsewhere, but TobyDeals, who ships for free to both Australia and New Zealand, has what you're after for under $105 nzd.
