Senecio:

The Ts&Cs clearly indicate that you annual pass will revert to the standard price and the completion f the 12 month term.

Fair enough, thought I read something like that when I signed up last year.

Why didn't you wait till the 27th?  Or could you time the new subscription to start at the end of your current month?

When I upgraded from monthly to this annual I have been refunded the unused part month.
They look to have an automatic credit card refund process.

Hmm, I wasn't aware of that.  My current month runs to the 26th - which turns out to be ideal timing.  I cancelled that and I can still watch till the 26th.  Then I'll start a Black Friday year subscription on the 27th.  That'll get me pretty close to Black Friday 2024, which is 29 Nov.

Does it work that if you cancel outright, you need to complete the month with no refund.  But of you cancel and replace with a new sub, then they start straight away and refund the remainder of the existing month.

I was only 1 week into my month. Used the an option to upgrade plan to annual. Then poked the code in there.

My current SSN monthly subscription is managed on my Apple account for some reason and only has a few days of overlap so not too concerned.

With SSN can you be logged in on 2 different devices and watch at the same time?

No; while you can be logged in on two (or more) devices, you can only stream on one at a time.

Re the original topic: thanks to the OP for posting, as I didn't see it anywhere else. I was planning to subscribe for selected events, probably around 6 of the next 12 months, but the $299.99 deal made it easier. Now I've got a year for not much more than I would otherwise have spent.

I had a Black Friday deal with a similar discount in 2022. My auto renewal was coming up as $449. There was no way to apply the discount with auto renewal so I let it expire and then resubscribed with the discount code today. All worked fine and signed up at $299.99.

I get that this deal must be purchased by 27 Nov, but does it need to be enabled from the date of purchase, or is there the ability to delay starting it? Thinking about it for an Xmas present.
