Wow Briscoes is having a sale?!
Is it 250% off, but somehow it's still about the same price as every other retailer? :)

I do get that Briscoes is an easy target in this regard (and anyone that buys anything from Briscoes full price needs their head read!), but I also think it’s risky to disregard all their sales on this basis. For example, there can be some real bargains when they do 50% off all stock, eg this brings espresso machines like this one down to a price that’s never found anywhere else.

I'm just joking around, I buy stuff from Briscoes on the semi regular, and they have an excellent, 'if it's on sale within a fortnight come back and we will refund the difference'. They are excellent about this, I've used it a couple of times, saving myself a couple of hundred.
There are already guarantees here (in Germany) a week before Black Friday that it will not be offered cheaper on Black Friday. In return, the offers are only available while stocks last. The actual Black Friday is just a waste of time for the most interesting items.
- NET: FTTH & VDSL, OPNsense, 10G backbone, GWN APs
- SRV: 12 RU HA server cluster, 0.1 PB storage on premise
- IoT: thread, zigbee, tasmota, BidCoS, LoRa, WX suite, IR
- 3D: two 3D printers, 3D scanner, CNC router, laser cutter
PBtech sales are back. same deals as before. LG OLED 27" 240Hz monitor is my pick.
If anyone is looking for a large capacity power bank, this looks to be quite a good sale price 20,000 mAh for $39.99 https://www.smithscity.co.nz/computers-and-phones/mobile-phones/mobile-phone-accessories/belkin-usb-c-20000mah-power-bank-blue-60001981

I thought black friday was last week because of PB Techs sale not actually being on black friday. But I wonder if they will do it again this week.
PB has always gone a week early from memory.
I bought Office365 Family 12-month subscription on 25 November 2022 for $129 from PB Tech.
I haven't seen it come any less than $141 from them yet. Might on this Friday (official Black Friday).
So I'll probably buy from Just Laptops who have it for $129.
If anybody spots a good deal on a intro gaming type laptop let me know. Currently considering a MSI GF63 Thin 12UDX-828NZ 15.6" FHD 144Hz RTX 3050 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i5-12450H - 16GB RAM - 512GB SSD - NVIDIA GeForce RTX3050 4GB for $1,199 depending on the final memory configuration.
This is for Mr 10 Year old boy who dreams of having a gaming laptop so doesn't need to be too powerful. Any recommendations or comments welcome
Doesn't seem that long ago I could pick up 365 Family for 80 or 90 something. Another symptom of 7% inflation turning into 37% for anything I want to buy ?
Just Laptops says 136.99 for me btw.

Farmers sale starts today. Not really tech related but for those that mainstream coffee they have 50% off Bodum products. I grabbed a few boxes of the Baccarat double walled coffee glasses, usually $45 for 2, they were a bargain at $15.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

It's Black Friday, what did you buy?
Normal People: A new TV, laptop, iPad etc....
Me: $300 worth of green coffee beans because there was a sale and they never have a sale.
Luckily they keep forever when stored correctly
Thanks @lias
I've just got that Yale lock:

I've also just ordered from Apple:
I staggered it, Apple are offering Cashback deals, So I brought one HomePod first, waiting for the $90 cashback,
Ordered the second with the $90 off, got that $90 cashback via email and ordered the 4K Apple TV and got $45 back.

@Senecio: While OT, out of interest what do you use to roast the beans? A couple of my family own one of those NZ-developed and made roasters (Nano 7), bought back when they were fundraising (so paid way lower than current retail), but always interested to see what others are using...
