Oops, if I hadn't seen this thread I'd not have checked the expiry date of my own and my wife's plans - 13th of August!

So we'll be cutting it fine; will probably pay by the month until a BOGOF or similar deal (hopefully) turns up. Kids are ok with theirs not expiring until Nov...

But I'm sure there was an August 23 deal that was the standard BOGOF offering on all plans, as we're on the medium plan and definitely got a 2-for-1 deal.

Well, in this standoff of me vs Kogan, Kogan won... Woke up this morning with no mobile connection and no deal on the horizon, so looks like we'll need to purchase month by month to see if one does turn up soon...

Well thats annoying.

I know I turned off auto renew on my family's kogan plans last year when I brought the bothday deal last year. The plans expired today and yet my Wifes and Daughters plan had auto renewed for another year..
It was set to auto renewal for some reason.

No Birthday deal for them this year.  :(

If you haven't checked double checked to make sure auto renew is off I suggest you do so.

Yep, good advice; I too am positive I turned off auto-renew on all the four plans we have with Kogan, and checked them the other day when I was confirming expiry dates, and found most of them were set to renew (so for the two accounts ending this week I just made it by a day before they renewed).

If you do want to revert to paying monthly until a deal turns up it could be worth asking Kogan help to cancel the plans - I once made a mistake and bought a year’s plan instead of a month and they were fine in cancelling it.

What I have seen last year, once you use a code to renew auto renew is on the next time you log in. It wasn't until I logged out and back in again it showed that auto renew was on. Very sneaky and I was caught out despite previously checking and seeing it was off. Customer care refunded the auto renew and I then used a bogof voucher on the day it renewed.

40% off Kogan Mobile 365 Day SIM Plans (Large $198,$ Extra Large $294) @ Kogan Mobile - ChoiceCheapies

Deals on the large plan. Works out at ~$17 a month, so still a hell of a deal.

No deals on small plans though.
